Dave Fletcher

Dave has a wide range of experience in different sectors, having particular expertise in hotels, residential, commercial and domestic development.  He has worked on new builds and extension and refurbishment schemes.  His skill sets range from multi storey new glazed structures to listed building refurbishments and extensions.  He has received many architectural awards for schemes designed by ADL.  He is constantly driving the company forward, experimenting with new management techniques and marketing opportunities. Dave is also a member of RIBA and has been president of LAWSA and the Rotary Club of Windermere.

His hobbies include rugby (watching), golf (walking to the 19th), Rotary (charity fund raising) and socialising (usually at rugby, golf and Rotary).

Alastair Firth

Alastair joined ADL in 2003.  Since then he has worked on numerous projects, from small domestic extensions to multi-million pound residential and commercial developments.

He has experience in running projects from commission through to planning and building regulations applications and administering contracts on site.

He is skilled in technical detailing and specification which has recently led to his appointment as Technical Director at ADL.

Outside of work he is involved with local charitable organisations; initially as a member of Windermere, Ambleside and District Round Table and currently as secretary of The Rotary Club of Windermere.

He is big fan of camping, hiking and mountain biking and has recently added kayaking to his outdoor pursuits.

Sarika Jhawar

Since joining ADL in 2014, Sarika has been the main designer for a number of prestigious projects and has been instrumental in developing a progressive vision for the practice’s future, including green, energy efficient architecture.

After graduating in Vernacular Architecture from Oxford Brookes, Sarika has worked in both the UK and India. She endeavours to respect and reflect the local architecture in her designs whilst incorporating modern elements too.

Her varied project experience, combined with her proven ability to produce high quality design has led to her recent appointment as ADL’s Lead Design Director.

Outside of work Sarika is busy renovating her own home and thoroughly enjoying living in the beautiful Lake District.

Cameron Scott

Cameron has recently joined our team after graduating with his Bachelor’s degree from The Robert Gordons University in Aberdeen. He plans to return there to complete his master’s degree after spending the year with ADL. He is mostly interested in the renovation of existing buildings to provide them with a new life or purpose. In his spare time, Cameron enjoys everything outdoors. Especially riding his bike. Cameron feels very privileged to live and work in such a beautiful part of the world.

Clare Travers

Clare joined ADL in 2005 as Administration Manager following many years working in operational management roles within the mail order industry.

She plays a key role in the smooth running of the practice including liaising with clients & planning authorities, co-ordinating information for (and submitting) planning & building regulations applications, developing & maintaining management information systems, HR and Health & Safety. She is ably assisted in these tasks by Jenny.

Outside work Clare enjoys watching motorcycle racing (especially in the Isle of Man), live music events and spending time with family & friends.

Jenny Clayton

Jenny joined ADL in January 2015 after completing her A Levels.

She has since gained both her Level 2 and Level 3 Diplomas in Business Administration and shares administrative duties with Clare, ensuring the office always runs smoothly.  Jenny is also our social media expert.

Outside of work Jenny enjoys playing hockey for South Lakes Hockey Club, training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and exploring the outdoors with her dog, Bob.
